- Tasty marinade to keep in the fridge and use many times. Use to make Teriyaki Chicken
- 2/3 cup mirin
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 4 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- black pepper to taste
- Bring mirin to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 mins.
- Pour in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil and sugar.
- Season with garlic, ginger, pepper flakes and black pepper.
- Simmer for an additional 5 mins.
- Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator.
